What leaders (should) DO: have the perfect attitude

by Miki Saxon

Have you ever wondered what the perfect attitude for a leader is? Not just a top dog leader, but for any person who aspires to lead and, for that matter, every person who lives and breaths.

I recognize it when I see it, know when I’m doing it, and can explain it when I’m coaching, but I’ve never seen it so perfectly boiled down to ten short words—all self-explanatory, nothing to look-up or study or requiring training.

I found them in my friend’s post yesterday, here they are

Like 3 year olds, be passionate, humble, impatient, grateful…daily.

Do it and change your life—and your world—guaranteed!

    Miki –

I came over to your blog from Phil G’s recommendation at Slacker Manager – and I LOVE the idea that leaders should be “passionate, humble, impatient, grateful…daily!”

    Yes!

    Warmly,
    Erika

  2. Miki Saxon Says:

Thanks! It’s definitely an attitude to cultivate. Wouldn’t you love to live in a world where it was the norm.

  3. Erika Andersen Says:

Absolutely…and the leaders I know who do have that attitude are both successful and wonderful folks.

  4. GreatManagement Says:

I do like that! Is the most important word ‘daily’?

    Andrew

  5. Miki Saxon Says:

Absolutely, Andrew. If it’s not daily it’s probably not real—although, as with any three year old, one is allowed short periods of crankiness and the occasional tantrum before the sun comes out again.
