A very smart engineering vp once told me that he he didn&#039;t need to know tech like his people, but he needed to know enough not to get conned. He said that the knowing was about 35% tech knowledge and 65% people knowledge, i.e., knowing each of his people well enough to know whose presentations to question more closely, etc.</description>
