At least he appears to be kinda cute in that shot.

    COOL!

Try to solve the guessing game on my Wordless Wednesday!

Cute? Wow, that makes me feel MUCH better, Luke!

There are worse things to look at as you ride along in the handbasket.

At least I didn’t say: “What future?”

  6. Miki SaxonNo Gravatar Says:

Luke, True and I think you showed great restraint. However, if it happens sooner lets give him his own handbasket and you and I can share the next one. If it happens later I won’t be around to see it, so you’ll have that dubious pleasure. (BTW, do you REALLY think he’s cute?:)

I’ve got a thing for the “emo-haircut” so maybe cute isn’t the right word. And in that picture you could make almost anyone have an allure, so cute may not have been the best descriptor.

  8. Miki SaxonNo Gravatar Says:

Is that what it’s called? Emo from emotion or some other source.

  9. LukeNo Gravatar Says:

Emo from emotion…unless someone really wants to argue about it, but for the life of me I can’t figure out where I heard an argument for the word coming from some other path.

If you’re interested the “evolution” of the genre has some info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo

There’s a section on “Fashion and Stereotype” which includes two pictures of the long fringe bangs and a very basic overview of Emo stereotypes.

Good grief, I’m not just outside of pop culture I’m light years away from it!
